WELDLOG

Terms of Service

Operator: Ion Welding Inc.

Contact: privacy@weldlog.ca

Effective date: June 13, 2026

Jurisdiction: British Columbia, Canada

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using WeldLog ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy below. If you are using WeldLog on behalf of an employer or organization, you confirm you have authority to agree on its behalf.

2. What WeldLog is

WeldLog is a web-based tool for recording welds and quality sign-offs. Users ("Welders") can log weld records — including job information, weld identifiers, welding procedure specification (WPS), position, notes, and photographs — and reviewers ("Foremen") can mark those records with a status (pass, repair, or fail) and a defect type.

WeldLog is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. It is a record-keeping aid and is not a substitute for certified inspection, code compliance, NDT, or any regulatory or contractual quality-assurance requirement. You remain solely responsible for meeting all applicable welding codes, standards, and inspection obligations.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being misused.

4. Your content

"Your Content" means the weld records, metadata, notes, and photographs you submit. As between you and us, you (or your organization) retain ownership of Your Content. By submitting Your Content, you grant us the licence described in Section 5 so we can operate and improve the Service.

You represent and warrant that:

5. Licence to operate and improve the Service (including AI/model development)

You grant the Operator a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, reproduce, and display Your Content for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

In addition, you grant the Operator the right to use Your Content — including weld photographs and their associated labels (such as pass/repair/fail status, defect type, and defect location markers placed by a foreman) — in de-identified and/or aggregated form to develop, train, evaluate, and improve machine-learning models, including models for automated weld-defect detection and related quality tools.

For clarity:

If you do not agree to the model-development use described in this section, do not submit content to the Service.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content; attempt to breach the security of the Service; use the Service to store content unrelated to welding/quality records; or use another organization's data without authorization.

7. Availability, changes, and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes where practical. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your data at any time (see Privacy Policy, Section 5).

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. The Service is a record-keeping aid and reliance on it does not transfer any inspection or code-compliance responsibility to the Operator.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date and, where appropriate, communicated to account holders. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
